30kW-Passive-Harmonic-Filter
Tunnel jet fans operate under demanding conditions, requiring high power quality and reliable performance for continuous operation. To improve the stability of the variable frequency drive system, a 30kW input filter was integrated into Lenze VFD cabinets to reduce harmonic distortion, mitigate electrical interference, and improve overall power quality.
Improved Power Quality for Stable System Operation
In this application, the 30kW input filter achieved:
Total harmonic current distortion (THDi) < 5%
Power factor improvement from 0.75 to > 0.96

30kW-Passive-Harmonic-Filter
By suppressing harmonic currents generated by the variable frequency drive, the filter reduces disturbances to the power network and connected equipment, providing a more stable electrical environment for tunnel ventilation systems.
Fast Delivery to Meet Project Requirements
A total of 13 units of 30kW input filters were delivered for this project. From order confirmation to shipment, the entire process was completed within just three days. Supported by efficient production processes and supply chain management, the delivery schedule was achieved to meet the customer’s deployment requirements.

Reliable Solution for Critical Infrastructure Applications
Tunnel ventilation systems are critical infrastructure that require continuous and dependable operation. Every component inside the control cabinet must meet stringent requirements for long-term stability and reliability.
While the Lenze variable frequency drive provides the required motor control and power output, the input filter improves power quality and reduces harmonic impact, working together to ensure safe and efficient operation of tunnel jet fan systems.
