IP65-IPX5-cover-Stainless Steel Resistor Cabinet
SIKES has completed an IPX5 water resistance test on its Stainless Steel Resistor Cabinet (10 kW, 16 Ω, IP65) in accordance with IEC 60529. The test was conducted to verify the enclosure’s resistance to water exposure and its operational reliability under simulated outdoor conditions.
The test was performed using a handheld water jet nozzle compliant with IEC 60529. Test conditions included a water flow rate of approximately 13.5 L/min, a spray pressure of approximately 50 kPa, a spray distance of approximately 3 m, and a continuous spray duration of approximately 5 min. Water was manually sprayed onto the product from all directions throughout the test.
After testing, only minor residual water remained on the enclosure surface. No water ingress was detected inside the cabinet, and the equipment continued to operate normally, meeting the acceptance criteria of the test.
The tested product is the SIKES Stainless Steel Resistor Cabinet (10 kW, 16 Ω, IP65), designed for harsh industrial environments. Featuring high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, it is suitable for long-term operation in crane, tower crane, industrial elevator, and electric hoist braking applications.
